Precipitation auto sampler installed in the south-north transect of the southern Himalayas

Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Tribhuvan University in collaboration with Utrecht University, the University of Rennes, and GFZ Potsdam installed precipitation auto samplers in March-April, 2025 at different elevations along a south- north transect of the southern Himalayas, Nepal for the stable isotopes studies. The main objective of this project is to trace the moisture source and improve the understanding of the atmospheric circulation processes including the evolution of the monsoon across the southern Himalayas.
